Raymond Douglas, is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Apollo Energy Systems, Inc. He has a long background in batteries and electric cars. He assisted his father, Robert Raymond Aronsson, in building the MARS I Electric Car in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1966. He was in charge of Tri-Polar Lead Cobalt battery production at Electric Fuel Propulsion Corporation (EFP) in Detroit, Michigan during the 1960s-1970s and assisted in the assembly of electric cars. In 1970 he built 12 electric go-carts for children. In 1978, he built a battery plant in Free-port, Bahamas, working closely with Dr. Barry Iseard, CEO of Anglo-American Research Company, and produced the batteries for 12 Silver Volt Electric Cars which were assembled at Anglo-American. He assisted in the establishment of a battery plant in China in 1988 and was involved in the production of batteries in that plant until 1991. He was graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, major Accounting.
